The Story

Goma-dare translates as “Sesame Seed Dipping Sauce”, and is a versatile sauce made from toasted sesame seeds. Great to serve alongside vegetables, it is a popular sauce to serve with Shabu Shabu or salad.

Variations of the sauce can be found with or without mayonnaise depending on the desired creaminess, and since it’s made with common ingredients, you can even make it yourself!
